Vertical lines, colour bands, spots and partial images can result from physical panel damage, T-CON, ribbon cables or panel drivers. Signal and connection tests separate a board fault from a panel fault.
A cracked or liquid-damaged panel is usually not repairable; replacement economics are explained first. Pressing the screen or disturbing ribbons can worsen the damage.
